Coronavirus – management and vaccination clinic

NEW RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING BOOSTER DOSES:

Currently a 2024 booster is recommended for everyone aged >65 yrs and anyone aged 16-64 who is immunocompromised or at risk for serious COVID – 19 infection. The interval between your last booster or a case of covid-19 infection should be 6 months. The current recommendation is that all patients over 75yrs have a booster every 6 months.

Patients < 16 years: Primary course only. Booster recommended if immunocompromised, have cancer or live in a group home.

Coronavirus management: Bronte GP has been committed to staying open during the Coronavirus pandemic to provide ongoing face to face care for our patients. Due to lockdown, immunity to common viruses has decreased and is resulting in high numbers of the common cold, respiratory viruses and influenza infection. We will therefore continue to use masks for entry.  If you are concerned you may have Coronavirus, please get tested with a Rapid Antigen Test. Anyone with respiratory symptoms or fever or diarrhoea is asked to call the practice.

Self-isolation is no longer mandatory when Covid positive but please consider those at risk in your community.
